Face Treatments
DR. TYNG TAN AESTHETICS AND HAIR CLINIC
Thermage™️ CPT (Comfort Pulse Technology) provides non-invasive radiofrequency (RF) therapy to tighten and contour facial skin for those with mild to moderate skin laxity. It works below the surface to help address surface imperfections that stem from ageing and environmental factors. It can smooth wrinkles and improve facial features around the eyes, jaw, and neckline. The treatment encourages collagen production to achieve youthful-looking skin on the face and even on the body.
Unlike older versions of the device, Thermage™️ CPT prioritizes patient comfort throughout the treatment. It comes with vibration elements that are integrated with cooling mechanisms. This marks each session with cooling and heating sensations with each pulse. Expect to give constant feedback on the level of heat sensation so the doctor can strike a balance between comfort and optimal results.
Typically, Thermage treatments for the eyes or face take 45 minutes. This will slightly vary depending on the extent of skin damage a patient has. One session is all that is necessary to create that skin tightening effect. The skin will continue to show improvements for up to six months as the body regenerates collagen. Through this process, the collagen matrix will eventually thicken and result in smooth skin.
SygmaLIFT HIFU
SygmaLIFT uses High Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) technology which has transformed facial lifting into a non-invasive and painless experience. This procedure is a combination of ultrasound and cold laser which targets the tissues underneath. It is dubbed the V-shape treatment because it can result in a slimmer visage characterised by a sharp chin and a well-defined jawline.
Sygmalift delivers fractionated ultrasound energy through focal lines that can reach a depth of up to 5mm into the skin. This triggers facial remodelling and lifting while promoting skin radiance. Improvement of the skin will continue up to 40 days after the treatment as the natural process of collagen regeneration occurs.
MOSAIC Fractional Laser
This treatment uses fractional laser technology to trigger the skin’s natural healing mechanism to reveal rejuvenated skin. It addresses aesthetic problems like scars (acne or surgical scars), fine lines, wrinkles, and enlarged pores. It creates deep skin rejuvenation through collagen remodelling and elastin regeneration.
Mosaic works through microbeams of laser that penetrate deeply into the skin to heat up and stimulate collagen synthesis and the formation of new cells. As old cells are pushed out and eventually eliminated, imperfections that came along with it are also removed. This process also tightens and smooths the skin making it look and feel naturally youthful.
Typically, 3-5 sessions each within a 4 to 6-week interval apart are recommended. This will vary based on a patient’s skin condition.
Dermal Fillers
These are substances that are formulated to be injected beneath the skin to fill in some of the lost volume in certain areas of the face. It rejuvenates the skin by plumping up sunken areas of the face, softening wrinkles, and minimising the appearance of scars. It is administered using a fine needle making it minimally invasive and tolerable for patients.
Dermal fillers come in different components to help replace lost facial volume, smooth out superficial wrinkles, and a host of benefits unique to each product. Through a consultation, the doctor can advise the suitable dermal filler to achieve desired results. It can even be used along with other treatments like Thermage CPT or Mosaic to correct skin laxity on the face as well as other parts of the body, such as the neck, arms, and hands.
Chemical Peels
This is a treatment that uses medical-grade chemicals to remove dead skin cells from the surface to reveal healthier skin underneath. This process reveals radiant and youthful-looking skin not only on the face, but the neck and hands as well.
Also referred to as chemexfoliation or derma peeling, this treatment exfoliates & peels off the skin using chemicals that come in different strengths (light peels, medium peels, and deep peels). This is to address concerns specific to different issues in different layers of the skin. If you wish to address problems like acne scars, hyperpigmentation, melasma, fine lines, and wrinkles, then chemical peels are right up your alley. It encourages cell turnover and collagen production.
A consultation will help determine the suitable option for you.
Anti-Wrinkle Injections
This anti-wrinkle treatment relaxes muscle contraction by blocking nerve impulses. It softens the effects of wrinkles and can address common problems like frown lines, crow’s feet, forehead furrows and even skin bands on the neck. It will take some time for the solution to settle down after it is administered. Once it does, the effects will last for 3-6 months depending on the condition of the patient’s skin.
This treatment may come with risks, but those can be avoided with proper patient selection and the right technique.
Rejuran
This is an antiaging treatment that originates from South Korea. It is prepared as an injectable that has polynucleotides (PN) as its primary ingredient. In essence, this sets into motion the process of skin repair, skin regeneration, and skin revitalisation. It can address fine lines, wrinkles, pore enlargement, acne scars, and pigmentation issues.
Rejuran treatments will require more than one session. The frequency and the total number of sessions will be decided after a thorough assessment has been made by the doctor. You cannot expect immediate improvement because the outcome of this treatment will depend on the restorative process of the skin. It stimulates the skin’s own regenerating capacity to replace dry and damaged cells.
With time, you can expect an improvement in skin tone, elasticity, hydration, oil production, and pore size. Eventually, this will give your face a renewed radiance that will make your skin look and feel young.
Medical Facials
Unlike the ones you can get at a spa, these types of facials use medical-grade products and devices to deliver the desired results. They are also preceded by a thorough evaluation so as to customise the treatment to address your specific needs or concerns.
Our clinic uses microdermabrasion, which is a non-invasive and painless skin resurfacing treatment through mechanical means. Using our own set of solutions, medical facials can buff out imperfections on the skin’s surface to reveal a radiant and healthier complexion. With regular sessions, it can improve dull skin, correct skin tone and texture, lighten acne scars, and even stimulate the renewal of skin cells.
Square Jaw Reduction
Overworked jaw or masseter muscles can result in an angular facial profile. Since some women prefer a smaller jawline, they resort to surgery for the enhancement.
Our square jaw reduction is a non-surgical V-shape face slimming procedure that can soften the angles of the jaw. Instead of incisions, this only involves injections of a measured amount of solution to relax the jaw muscles. By relieving the muscles from too much stress, the size lessens over time resulting in a slimmer jawline.
Pigmentation Treatment
Pigmentation issues come in different forms and we use different treatment modalities to address them. Treatments like microdermabrasion and chemical peels correct the problem from the outside. Meanwhile, laser treatments act on skin repair and renewal from the inside to eventually create a brightening effect on the outside.
It is expected that these treatments will require a certain number of sessions to achieve desired results. It will take a comprehensive consultation to know how many sessions you need, especially for laser treatments. Most of these treatments are done alongside other services to boost their results.
Acne Scars Treatment
We offer a 2-in-1 acne scar removal treatment that involves microdermabrasion and chemical peels. We also widen our scope of treatment to address the different types of acne scarring – from hyperpigmented areas to pitted scars. For this we have laser treatments to reduce discoloration and promote internal healing to encourage skin rejuvenation. We also administer dermal fillers to fill in depressions left by cystic forms of acne. Different treatments can also be used together to enhance their corrective and restorative effect.
Enlarged Pores Treatment
Pore enlargement can stem from a lot of causes. This can be unflattering to the face and may even expose you to potential problems, like acne breakouts. This makes treatment not only purely aesthetic but also a preventive effort from potentially major skin issues.
Pore minimizing treatments involve microdermabrasion and chemical peels. However, we have added lasers into the mix to take results a notch higher. Microdermabrasion and chemical peels can thoroughly cleanse the skin by way of mechanical and chemical means respectively. Meanwhile, laser treatments can target skin from the inside to trigger collagen regeneration to make the skin tighter and the pores smaller.
While the different services available can be done together, it requires thorough consultation to determine the appropriate treatments for your case.
Dark Eye Circles Treatment
Under eye darkening can make a person appear old and tired. DIY treatments or creams can be handy, but sometimes they are not enough. At our clinic, we offer laser skin resurfacing treatments – like Mosaic, to address darkening in this sensitive area. Lasers, as a skin resurfacing treatment, penetrate deep into the dermal structures to stimulate collagen and elastin regeneration. This action can help lighten the sensitive skin around the eyes.
Dermal fillers are also an alternative in that they can fill in the depressions that create a shadow effect under the eyes. These products not only serve to improve the surrounding structures, but they also have rejuvenating ingredients like hyaluronic acid. This can make the area brighter and youthful-looking.
